Save The Campus & Historic World Mission Center
Save The Campus & Historic World Mission Center, Inc. (a California non-profit corporation) is dedicated to preserving this beautiful, strategically located, U.S. Center for World Mission Campus, in Pasadena, CA.
The Nazarenes through Phineas Bresee (the first president) dedicated this land as a college in 1910, to train ministers and missionaries to preach the Good News of Jesus which brings transformation and restoration to all the peoples of the World.
In 1976, Dr. Ralph Winter was inspired to use this Campus as a strategic multi-denominational collaborative missions center, focused on reaching the unreached people groups of the world.
Following Dr. Winter's death in 2009, a 2nd Generation of leaders have been quietly preparing this beautiful 17-acre Campus and its surrounding 147 homes to be SOLD, to the detriment of many missions organizations and without any accountability to the greater Christian community.
There are those on the US Center for World Mission Board dba Frontier Ventures and the William Carey International University Board who are deeply concerned that both Boards are violating their covenants with the donors and the entire Christian community. The problem is that these Board members are in the minority and cannot stop what the overall Board is doing. This will become more evident as the records from Board meetings are brought out into the light.
The donations of the original $15.95 Campaign in 1977, and the Last $1,000 Campaign in 1987, fully paid for this income-generating campus 30 years ago in 1987, so that the Campus could be a self-sustaining, strategic base for the cause of reaching the lost among the unreached people groups of the World. The Save The Campus & Historic World Mission Center Corporate Team is wholeheartedly opposed to any sale or loss of the property and opposed to any betrayal of the original vision, mission and covenants made with all the donors who so sacrificially poured their lives, talent and finances into the US Center for World Mission Campus and cause!
Phineas Bresee spoke this promise over this Campus in 1910 when the Nazarene College (now Point Loma University) began. ~ It will no longer be said of you, “Abandoned,” Nor will it any longer be said of your land, “Desolate”; But you will be called, “My Delight,” And your land, “Married”; For the Lord delights in you, and to Him your land will be married (owned and protected by the Lord)!
